I think this past year has officially been the FASTEST year out of the past 5. They have have all been a whirlwind, don't get me wrong, but this last one takes the cake. James Ryan turned one on 12-31-09 - what a day for a birthday! We had family and friends come in town that weekend to help us celebrate and we had a great time. It was crazy busy at our house but I am sure all the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. James accomplished a huge milestone and started walking over Christmas... and by the following week he had nearly mastered the task. He is such a growing boy.....and an ornery growing smile to go with it. I love him dearly and truly cannot believe my baby just turned 1 year old.
Reese still cannot get enough of him and is constantly giving him kisses. I am beginning to see James looking up to Reese and trying to take in all the things he is doing. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. :)
As the year 2010 begins, our family is truly thankful for all of the blessings from the previous decade and look forward to what God has in store for us.
We decided to take a break from the cold and take the boys swimming a few days ago. Since James hadn't been feeling too well and just recently had tubes put in his ears...we decided he wasn't a good candidate for the pool. So Reese and Kevin got to spend some time together in the pool while I chased James around trying to keep him OUT of the pool. Reese had a great time and wasn't ready to leave. I am trying to sign him up for swimming lessons and just waiting on a return phone call. This way he will be even better this summer when we take the boat out on the lake...oh summer..........it can't come fast enough.
